RASCAL Bikes project is based on years of experience in the children's bicycle market within the Cyklospeciality business network. This chain of bicycle stores annually serves almost ten thousand children, which provides an ideal interactive background for the development of children's bikes and components for children.

The company has been operating in the field of children's cycling since 2010. After gaining a solid insight into the market, the founders Kuba Holec and Ondra Brunecký decided to utilize their experience and establish their own brand. The inspiration came from the need to provide their own children with a bicycle they would love to ride. Simply, they wanted to give their children the best.

Ondra, a former interior designer, had a clear idea of what a children's bicycle should look like. On the other hand, Kuba brought in the experience he had gathered during several years of racing. The team was also joined by a frame designer Jaroslav Juřica. Right from the start, they faced challenges such as developing the right geometry, searching for optimal production technologies or selecting suppliers that would provide high-quality, lightweight and size-appropriate components. The intensive development of the first RASCAL bike series took two years.
